HP High Court Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (Post-wise)
- Court Manager: Graduation in any stream with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a UGC-recognised University or Institution in India, plus 3 years of experience in Process Management or IT Systems Management or Human Resources Management or Financial Management. Good knowledge of legal affairs and computer applications is desirable.
- Clerk: Graduation from a recognised University with basic computer knowledge, including operating Windows and Linux, typing and taking printouts.
- Stenographer Grade-III: Graduation degree from a recognised University.
- Driver: Matriculation from a recognised Board, a valid LMV driving licence held for at least 3 years, and at least 3 years of experience driving an LMV. Preference is given to candidates with good mechanical knowledge of automobiles.
- Process Server: 10+2 pass from a recognised Board.
- Peon / Orderly / Chowkidar / Safai Karamchari: 10+2 pass from a recognised Board.
Domicile note: Candidates must be citizens of India. Except bonafide Himachalis, candidates for Group-C posts must have passed matriculation, 10+2 or graduation, and Group-D candidates must have passed middle, matriculation or 10+2, from a school or institution situated within Himachal Pradesh, along with knowledge of the customs and dialects of the State.

HP High Court Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process differs by post, as per Schedule-III of the R&P Rules, 2022.
- Court Manager: Written Test and Viva-voce (Schedule-III Part 3, Phase-I and Phase-II).
- Clerk: Screening Test, Written Test, Typing Test and Document Verification. The typing test requires 30 WPM in English and 25 WPM in Hindi (Kruti Dev-10 font), held separately after the Screening Test.
- Stenographer Grade-III: Screening Test, followed by a Stenography Test at 80 WPM in English with transcription within 5 times the dictation time, and a Typing Test at 40 WPM in English and 30 WPM in Hindi (Kruti Dev-10 font). More than 10% mistakes in transcription or typing leads to disqualification.
- Driver: Screening Test, Proficiency Test of driving and Document Verification.
- Process Server: Screening Test, Written Test and Evaluation (Part 10 of Schedule-III).
- Peon / Orderly / Chowkidar / Safai Karamchari: Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio for Evaluation / Document Verification on the basis of 10+2 marks (calculated out of 85 marks) plus 15 marks for evaluation of uploaded documents. The final merit list is based on the combined score.

Important Instructions
- Ensure your eligibility in qualification, category, age and experience as on the last date of application.
- Serving Government or Semi-Government employees must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) within 15 days of the last date. This does not apply to job trainee, contract, casual, adhoc, daily wage or work-charged employees.
- The category once claimed will be treated as final and no change will be entertained.
- Results against regular vacancies are declared first, followed by contractual and daily wages modes. Candidates cannot switch between appointment modes after final results.
